Types of Phobia

There are generally two categories of phobia that people suffer with. Both categories of phobia are treatable with clinical hypnotherapy, NLP  techniques available from Cure any Phobia Hypnosis clinic in Manchester.

Specific phobia (simple phobia) A simple phobia relates directly to a "thing" or a particular situation. Such as a fear of flying on planes, fear of going to the dentist or phobia of spiders. Specific phobias can be treated relatively quickly, often within 5 sessions, especially if it is clear where the root cause began.

Complex phobia Complex phobias such as Agoraphobia are generally connected to various environmental and emotional triggers that can generalise to include more triggers as time moves on. Living with a complex phobia means it becomes harder to avoid triggers and this can lead to higher amounts of anxiety and panic attacks (or the fear of panic attacks).

Complex phobias are treatable but it can take more time to reduce the anxiety and improve confidence due to the generalised triggers and other issues that may be present such as depression.
